Hawaiian Inspiration

While spending our Christmas vacation in Hawaii I visited a wonderful little gallery on the North shore of Kaui where I fell in love with the artwork of Jamie R. Allen. I had been doing some painting before our trip but seeing her work further inspired me. I had taken lots of photographs of the magnificent plant life on the garden, which I used as reference for this painting.
